About Carrie
Carrie Leber has over 20 years of experience providing mental health counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, and elders in a variety of inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings. In addition to her clinical experience, she is also currently attending graduate school to receive her Doctorate in Social Work.
She believes that continuing her learning helps her to stay current with emerging best practices and enables her to match evidence-based interventions to the specific issues facing her clients.
Carrie has experience working with children and adolescents in addressing emotional and behavioral challenges that they are experiencing. Some of these challenges may include low self-esteem, anger management, changes related to foster care placement, and difficulties in the school setting.
Carrie has attended school meetings upon request to advocate for the student and provide guidance and options for the teachers and staff to assist the student in being successful.
She uses a strengths-based, client-centered approach that seeks to enhance the client’s motivation for personal growth and change. Carrie focuses on developing a supportive, caring, and honest rapport with each of her clients within a safe environment. The journey can provide challenges, but with the support and guidance she offers, many have become successful on that journey.
Carrie Leber’s areas of expertise include, but aren’t limited to, mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD, adult survivors of trauma, grief, couples, and chronic pain management.
